What Is Investor / Member

Vintage | Investor | Investor refers to a person who successfully deposits after the Fundraising ends. If the Governor does not deposit, then he is not considered an investor. |
Collective | Member | Member refers to a person who successfully deposits and becomes a member of the DAO, including through Fundraising, Member-in, and Top-up. Among the Members of the Collective, only the Summoner may not have the identity of an Investor. |
Flex | Investor | An investor is a person who successfully deposits and is allocated investment shares after the fundraising phase of the investment project ends. |
Investor / Member Limit

Vintage | Investor Limit | Investor Limit restricts the number of investors in a single fund in Vintage DAO. |
Collective | Member Limit | Member Limit restricts the number of members in a Collective DAO. |
Flex | Investor Limit | Investor Limit restricts the number of investors in an investment project within Flex DAO. |
Who Can Modify
The modification of the Investor Limit is collectively decided by the DAO's Governor (Vintage and Flex) or Member (Collective) groups through proposals and voting.
When To Modify
DAO Mode | When |
Vintage | The Investor Limit can only be modified when there are no funds currently running (from fundraising to close). The successful modification will apply to the next fund. |
Collective | Member Limit can only be modified when there are no currently running Operation and Setting proposals. The result of a successful modification will apply to subsequent operations. |
Flex | Investor Limit can only be modified when there are no currently running Operation and Setting proposals. The result of a successful modification will apply to subsequent operations. |
How To Modify Investor / Member Limit
On the Management page of Vintage and Flex DAO, select the Setting tab, you can see the Investor Limit modification proposal, click it to enter the proposal submission page, as shown below.
If the toggle is turned off, the Invest Limit will be modified to unlimited. If the toggle is turned on, you can enter a revised limit on the number of investors. You can provide the reason for the modification in the Reason section for other Governors and participants (Investors) to see.
On the Management page of Collective DAO, select the Setting tab, you can see the Member Limit modification proposal, click it to enter the proposal submission page, as shown below.
Click Submit to confirm the wallet transaction for proposal submission. Once successfully submitted, anyone can see the proposal from the proposals list page and enter the voting page to view the voting status of the proposal. The Governor (Vintage and Flex) or Member (Collective) groups can then vote on the proposal. After the vote passes and is successfully executed, the Invest Limit or Member Limit will be modified. You can view the modified parameters on the DAO's About page. These parameters will apply to future DAO operations.
