Governor
DAO Managers
Responsible for the approval of the Governor's entry and exit, and the modification of various settings of the DAO. Do not manage investment decisions. Governors as a group can collect a Governor fee & Carry from all investors as compensation and incentives.
• Method #1: Added as Genesis Governor when the DAO deploying. • Method #2: Submit a Governor in proposal by the existing governor, apply to be added as a new Governor, and pass the vote.
Investor
Investors of projects in Flex DAO
Potential investors who are in line with Investor Eligibility participate in project fundraising through Deposit, and those who successfully obtain investment shares will become investors in this investment project, thus obtaining potential investment returns.
When the conditions of the DAO Investor Eligibility are met, you are eligible to deposit, and the investment share will be allocated at the end of the fundraising period
Scout
Proposer of Investment Proposal
Provide investment sources, submit investment proposals, and win Scout Fee & Carry.
When the conditions of the DAO Scout Eligibility are met, it is possible to become a Scout for the project by submitting an investment proposal.
TempCheck Voter
Voter in TempCheck activity
People who meet the TempCheck Voter Eligibility criteria can become a TempCheck Voter by voting to screen for investment opportunities.
When the condition of DAO TempCheck Voter Eligibility is met, participate in the temperature check of a certain project.
Summoner
DAO’s founder, one of Genesis Governors
Summoner has the right to set up DAO with initial settings. After DAO is deployed, Summoner’s right is the same as any other Governors.

Genesis Governor
Co-founder of DAO. A special kind of Governor.
Genesis Governors’s right is the same as any other Governors. Not subject to Governor Eligibility when added by the Summoner.
When the DAO was deployed, it was added as Genesis Governor, similar to how addresses are whitelisted. If not added, Summoner is the only Genesis governor by default.

Relationships Between Roles In Flex DAO

The Governor, Investor, Scout, and TempCheck Voter are four different roles in the Flex DAO. They are not mutually exclusive, and a person (wallet address) can have one or more roles at the same time. Governor is a role that applies to the entire DAO scope. Investors, Scout, and TempCheck Voter are all roles specific to a project.

For example, if Jack is one of the governors of DAO XYZ and he submitted the investment proposal for Project A, then he is the Scout for Project A; He participated in the temperature check of Project B, and he was the TempCheck Voter of Project B; He has deposited money in the fundraising of Project C and successfully obtained the investment share, so he is the Investor of Project C.

Eligibility of Roles

Each role has its own access conditions and does not affect each other. Governor, Investor, Scout, and TempCheck Voter all have four setting options: ERC20, ERC721, ERC1155, and whitelist. You can choose only one of the four options as required entry criteria and set the minimum holding of the required tokens. Note that these are only entry conditions for each Role, and people who meet those eligibilities do not automatically have a role.

A Governor nominee must be approved by existing Governors before becoming a new governor. Those who meet role eligibility, must submit proposals, conduct TempCheck Voting, or deposit and successfully obtain investment shares to become a Scout, TempCheck Voter, or Investor of a certain project.
