In Vintage DAOs, a DAO cannot proactively close a fund. Only after the term of that fund ends (Refund Period ends) can it execute the Liquidate action to close the already ended fund. Closing an ended fund is necessary to initiate a new round of fund. If the Liquidate action is not executed, the refund period for that fund will be extended by default. See Fund Life Cycle for a detailed introduction to the operation of the fund.
Liquidate
When the Refund Period of a Vintage DAO's fund ends, a Liquidate button will appear on the DAO homepage. The DAO's Governors can click it to complete the liquidation of that fund. Once the Liquidation transaction is successfully executed,
- The DAO's fund pool will be emptied, and the balance in the DAO fund pool will be transferred to the refund contract.
- All investors of that fund can withdraw their deposit balances in that fund from DAO's My / Refund / Closed Fund.
See For Investors / Refund In A Fund to understand how to get a refund in a fund.
